Merit badge sessions provide a unique, hands-on opportunity for Scouts to explore real-world skills in a professional environment. Scouts complete these challenging Merit Badges quickly while learning all requirements. The sessions immerse Scouts in disciplines that power everyday life—electricity, plumbing, carpentry, welding, and more—while connecting them directly with experienced instructors and industry mentors.
By earning merit badges in the trades, Scouts advance in their Scouting journey and gain practical knowledge, confidence, and exposure to career pathways that can shape their future. The Skilled Trades Education Center bridges Scouting’s values of preparedness and service with the essential skills that build communities, making these sessions both impactful and inspiring.
We are currently staffed and equipped to offer the following merit badges at Scouts BSA Summer Camp.
